My project starting with my personal interested in a child. How the child thinking with the world. (The way kids thinking is usually positive and direct.) Especially, I focusing on child happiness.

It starts with a family problem that parents do not understand and take care of enough for their children. This makes them feel unhappy and has an unexpected effect. Some children get stressed to the point of being aggressive. So, this is a big and long-happening problem.

*And it comes up with the statement that the neglectful parenting style leads to harming the child

So, my aims is I want to explore child happiness for parents, who are going to be parents, or have a plan to have a child to notice and consider that having a child should make them happy, keep them warmth and take care of them well.

In this project, I focus on the children that have 3–9 years old because, in the theory of Michelle Anthony said, this age period is a time of rapid growth along with a number of developmental measures and also includes remembering and adaptation.

So I start the project by go to interview the child to answer that what is their happiness.

*And this is the first visual experiment that I try to collage.

*After that, Before I do the other visual experiment, I have the question is what things that we are seeing, by architecture, capital, weather, and the environment? I started here because it is the structure of society in which children grow. So I go to take many pictures in many places that relate to the child by classifying the categories by place and capital.

*From this point, I started to understand what I achieve from this is the happiness of a child does not depend on the parent’s financial status but depends on the empathy of the parents.

So, my keyword is empathy, warmth, joy, meaningful.

And while I do the visual experiment, I found one of the photographers. His name is Gabriele Galimberti. He visited more than 50 countries and collects photos of the children with their favorite toy to recorded the spontaneous and natural joy that unites kids despite their diverse backgrounds.

American art educator Victor Lowenfeld said: Children at this age have begun to draw pictures with symbols as a means of understanding them.

*So, in my another experiment, I try to collect children’s drawings in many places which is the topic about the family in their dreams to show what is the things that the children really want. And this is the result that I collect.

And I also try to collect parents’ drawings.

Caring for children is something all parents know. But even though, there were still parents who didn’t care about this. Therefore I want to emphasize for parents to see.

*For the next step, I will develop more with all the drawing that I collected. Moreover, I am interested in the question which is what is the structure of society that we see now? That makes a child be a child. So, I will go to explore with this question.
